The Challenge
Join us for a fantastic five day trekking adventure as we trek to the top of Mount Toubkal, standing proud at a height of 4,167m, the highest peak in North Africa! Our route encompasses remote villages, stunning scenery and breathtaking views throughout as we explore the magnificent High Atlas Mountain region. We’ll receive a warm welcome from friendly local Berbers as we explore their remote region where village life has changed very little – a privileged chance to see their lifestyle and culture first hand and discover the real Morocco. We’ll celebrate our achievements Moroccan style in the colourful capital of Marrakech.
Challenge Itinerary
Day 1 - Depart UK
We depart the UK for our flight to Marrakech. Upon arrival, we will meet our local guides and transfer to our hotel. Tonight there will be a briefing about the challenge ahead.
Day 2 - Marrakech to Neltner Hut (3,210m)
Trekking distance – approx. 10km
Day 3 - Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m)
Trekking distance – approx. 8km
Day 4 - Neltner Hut to Marrakech
Trekking distance – approx. 8 km
Day 5 - Return to UK
Please note this is a complex itinerary and subject to change, including the timings and distances detailed. Mountain weather conditions, the group’s ability and any other factors outside our control can impact on the schedule set out in this brochure.

- 4 nights accommodation – 2 nights hotel accommodation, twin share with private bathroom, 2 nights camping twin share. Please note that accommodation in Morocco will be different to what we are used to in the UK, hotels will have a local category rating of 4 stars.
- All meals on the trek including celebratory dinner, starting from breakfast on day 2 through to breakfast on day 5
- Safe drinking water whilst trekking
- A superb ground team of porters, cooks and professional English speaking local guides who are experienced in Mt Toubkal summit climbs (Global Adventure Challenges have been working alongside our in-country ground team for more than 10 years)

How fit do I need to be?
Our policy is to encourage and support as many people as possible to take part in our challenges. But they may not be suitable for all people due to restriction posed by limitation in mobility, physical or cognitive disability, pregnancy or other various medical conditions. If you have any doubts regarding your suitability for your challenge please contact our office to speak to one of the team.

Can I stay in Morocco after the challenge?
Yes you can, but this is subject to us being able to amend your booking from our flights inclusive package to our ground only package. For further information on how our ground only packages work, please visit our guide to ground only challenges.

Dates and Costs
Payment Option A - Minimum Sponsorship
You pay the non-refundable Registration Fee of £199 to Global Adventure Challenges. In addition, you then commit to raising the minimum sponsorship of £2,499. Please send the sponsorship money to St Catherines Hospice as you raise it. 60% of the minimum sponsorship (£1,499.40) must be received by St Catherines Hospice by 1st July 2026. Failure to do so may mean non-participation in the challenge. The balance of the challenge costs will be paid for you by the charity out of the sponsorship raised. All outstanding sponsorship must be sent to the charity no later than 1st October 2026 . Please do try and raise as much as you can, as every penny you raise over the minimum sponsorship will be retained by the charity too.
Payment Option B - Self-Funding
You pay the non-refundable Registration Fee of £199 to Global Adventure Challenges. 12 weeks before the challenge you will receive a reminder to pay the challenge balance of £1,180. This is in addition to the Registration Fee and is to be paid to GAC no later than 12 weeks prior to departure – 29th July 2026. Although there is no minimum sponsorship, we do ask you raise as much as possible for St Catherines Hospice.
